Parcels to Irish addresses are generally delivered between 3 to 5 working days after ordering, providing that the items ordered are in stock. EU deliveries are usually 5 to 10 days after order! Irish and EU destination parcels are sent by courier and will require a signature for delivery.
USA deliveries normally take up to 10 working days, however the US customs and the mandatory FDA Prior Notification system in place for US food deliveries can extend this time and is beyond our control. Rest of the World destinations will take on average 10 to 15 days and is sent by UPS courier service. It is the sole responsibility of the purchaser to check with their local customs and excise regulations to ensure a smooth delivery.
Delivery times may vary when large seasonal volumes of orders occur, we do our best to prevent this but early ordering at Valentines, Christmas and Easter will help.
Breakage / Loss / Failure of Delivery
Please notify us immediately if your parcel arrives damaged, retain all packaging for return to us and we will replace items so damaged. We cannot replace goods which have been damaged after the delivery has taken place. Damaged goods may be refused at delivery and the carrier will return them to us and we will resend the items. We will offer a replacement or refund for goods lost in transit after a thorough investigation of the parcel tracking has taken place.
If the recipient is not there to receive a parcel, the carrier will contact the number on the delivery label to make arrangements for a reasonable alternative delivery point. If there is no answer to this call, delivery will be attempted again the following day. If this is unsuccessful the parcel will be returned to us. While we may refund the value of the goods, the delivery cost cannot be refunded. We ask for recipient telephone numbers so that we can contact people directly in the event of a delivery issue. We can’t accept responsibility for late delivery of goods in the event that the address is incomplete or incorrect. We are not responsible for late deliveries due to adverse weather conditions or other causes beyond our reasonable control. If goods have been returned to our premises and must be sent out again, a second delivery charge will apply.
Warning – Warm / Cold Weather and Chocolate
Some regions experience warm / hot weather or cold weather conditions and it is the customer’s responsibility to be aware of these when ordering. Wilde Irish Chocolates cannot take responsibility for ‘melted’ or ‘damaged’ chocolate due to heat or bloom due to cold. We have no control over the way couriers store our product once it leaves our factory. After receipt of the parcel please do not leave parcels in sunlight, near a source of heat, in a car / van for prolonged periods, or near any strong odours as deterioration / melting / tainting of the product can occur.
Our Returns Policy
If you need to return a damaged or defective item, please contact us as soon as you become aware of a reason for returning the parcel. If you have received it as a gift, please notify the sender immediately of any defect / damage affecting your delivery and advise them to get in contact with us Tel. +353 (0)61922080. Do not destroy / dispose of product or packaging prior to speaking with our customer care staff. Please retain all delivery dockets / reference numbers etc. that you find with the parcel as this is necessary for us to find the cause of the defect. After the return of and inspection of the damaged goods and the cause of the damage is established, we will then issue a replacement. Please use the original packaging to return the item if this is possible.
If, for any reasons other than damage or defect, you are unsatisfied with the product, you may return it to us within 7 days of receipt of the item unopened and in its original packaging and we will refund the cost of purchase, once we have received the goods and have inspected the packaging.
