At Wilde Irish Chocolates, we are delighted to welcome all visitors to our artisan chocolate factory, shop, and café in Tuamgraney, Co. Clare. We want every guest — including people with additional needs should feel comfortable, included, and supported during their visit. 2. Getting Here & Arrival
- By Car:
Parking is available on-site at the Enterprise Centre. The approach to the main entrance is step-free. There is a very small ramp up to the entrance, approximately 2 cm high. We have double entrance doors (each door 75cm wide) which staff are happy to open fully on request, providing an unobstructed width of 150cm.
A dedicated drop-off area is available very close to the main door at all times.
- By Public Transport:
Local bus options serve the wider area. The nearest accessible stop is Tuamgraney Handball Alley (served by Bus Éireann Route 345), located approximately 500m from the Enterprise Centre.
If you need advice on the best accessible drop-off point or route, contact us and we will guide you.
- Arrival Assistance:
We can arrange:
- Staff to meet you on arrival.
- Help with doors or mobility equipment.
3. Key Physical Accessibility Features
We aim to support visitors with a wide range of access needs. Features include:
- Step-free access to the main shop, café, and viewing area entrance.
- Fully accessible, gender-neutral toilet located on the ground floor level, equipped with grab rails.
- Open-plan layout in our Café and Shop.
- Accessible Seating: Seating is available throughout the café and can be made available in the viewing area on request. Staff are happy to adjust tables and chairs as needed.
- Service animals welcome.
- Staff familiar with assisting visitors with mobility, sensory, or communication needs.
4. Planning & Personalised Support
To help you prepare for your visit and ensure maximum comfort, we offer:
- Pre-visit familiarisation: Photos of the shop, factory viewing area, and café are available are attached to this page.
- We can provide a detailed walkthrough of the visit/experience structure by email or phone.
- Low-sensory or quieter times can be recommended and arranged on request.
- Verbal descriptions available during visits and experiences for visitors with visual impairments.
- Adaptable activities for children and adults with neurodiverse needs.
- Hands-on activities can be adapted with additional support, reduced noise, or shorter steps.
